The best time to visit Batu Caves is during the dry season, which runs from May to September.During these months, the weather is generally sunny with less rainfall, making it more comfortable to climb the 272 steps to the main temple cave and explore the surrounding area. You'll find it easier to navigate the outdoor spaces without the worry of sudden downpours. For those who prefer to avoid larger crowds, visiting on a weekday morning is ideal. You'll experience a more peaceful ascent and have better opportunities to take photos without many other visitors in the background. Early mornings also tend to be cooler before the midday heat sets in.However, if you're interested in cultural festivals, the Thaipusam festival, usually held in late January or early February, is a significant event. While it attracts very large crowds, it offers a unique and memorable experience as Hindu devotees gather for a colourful procession and religious observances.
